Alex L. Bennett

Hey there! My name is Alex, and I love designing beautiful experiences! Whether it's an interactive experience, immersive exhibit, or compelling graphics and visuals, I'm up for the challenge! I get a thrill out of designing visually appealing solutions to complex design problems. I thrive working in cross disciplinary and collaborative teams, but I can operate just as well independently. My design process focuses on user centered, pixel perfect, and research supported strategies for creating engaging experiences of all types.

Skills and Proficiencies

Software

Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and solid understanding of After Effects and InDesign. 3D experince with Maya, Substance Painter, and solid understanding of ZBrush. Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and solid understanding of Excel.

 

UI/UX

Experienced in user research and testing, data collection and analysis, interaction storyboarding, wireframing, exhibit design, and curation. Solid understanding of typography, layout, information and interaction hierarchies,  and user centered design.

 

Traditional Skills

Strong background in drawing, painting, and printmaking. Very organized and excellent communication skills. Well suited for both collaborative, cross-diciplinary teams and independent work environments. Motivated self-starter, comfortable with public speaking, and can maintain a positive attitude even under the most demanding circumstances.

  • Awards up to $25,000 per year (after all other scholarships/grants) to 1-2 artists.

2015

  • Annual juried exhibit hosted by Columbia City Gallery and sponsored by SEED Arts and the Office of Arts And Culture in Seattle, WA.
